Mangahigh announces National Science & Engineering Week Maths Challenge

We are excited to announce that we’re running a unique competition for all UK schools, for the duration of National Science & Engineering Week (9th – 18th March, 2012).

The School which scores the most points on Mangahigh during NSEW will be crowned National Champions, and will receive medals and certificates for their top-performing students, presented in person on 12th June by eminent mathematician and TV star, Dr Marcus Du Sautoy!

National Science & Engineering Week is a 10 day programme of activities and events running throughout the whole of the UK, and organised by the British Science Association. NSEW celebrates science, engineering and technology and its importance in our lives. Click on the logo to learn more.

All UK schools will be switched over to a special leaderboard on the 9th March, and all points earned by your students over the following 10 days, whether from freeplay or challenges, or from games or Prodigi, will count towards your school’s score.

At the end of the competition, we will announce the champions, and your leaderboard will revert to the normal monthly format, with all points earned during NSEW counting towards your monthly total.

We expect the contest to be really tough, as schools compete to win the inaugural competition, and be crowned champions of the first ever NSEW Mangahigh Maths Challenge. So get your students warmed up, and set them plenty of challenges in advance, to help them get off to a flying start. We wish you all the best of luck!
