Ireland goes crazy for Mangahigh!

10,000,000 questions answered on Mangahigh by Irish students, in only 7 days!

Mangahigh were proud to again be involved with Maths Week Ireland, which took place between 15th – 22nd October.  We ran a one-week competition for all Irish schools (RoI & NI), with a unique leaderboard, and all medals earned by students on Mangahigh during the week counted towards their schools’ totals.

Our congratulations go to the overall winner, for the second successive year, Loreto Secondary School in Bray, who won with an awesome total of 6848 points!

The competition at the top of the leaderboard was intense throughout the week, and reached fever pitch on the Friday evening, as the midnight deadline approached. Our Lady’s College Greenhills mounted a late charge, to attempt to overtake Loreto Bray at the last hurdle, but the girls at Loreto were able to hold them off, and claim their title once again.

Special mention also goes to the 3rd placed finisher, Ratoath Senior National School, who performed consistently well throughout Maths Week. But as you can see from the final leaderboard, the other schools in the top 10 also deserve a huge amount of credit for their achievements.

We’re looking forward to seeing such incredible engagement and excitement during Maths Week Ireland 2012! And with Mangahigh now completely free, permanently, to Irish schools, and with the recent implementation of the RoI curriculum, we hope to see Irish schools making good use of Mangahigh in the meantime.

If you were involved in the recent Maths Week Ireland competition, we would love to hear your stories.  You can reply to this blog post, tweet us @Mangahigh, or write on our Facebook wall:
